By this point in time I had also spent a number of years working very closely with my brother Mark Z. Danielewski on his novel “House of Leaves”. I’d written a number of songs that were inspired by bits of his writing and conversely, pieces of Mark’s novel had sprung out of songs that I had written. So we went down to Hollywood and saw Poe perform with the Hello-era band (Daris, Toby, Cameron and Jones) and ran into the guy that filmed the band back in the late '90s a lot who went on to write some stuff that got published.


He says he is growing the beard because he has a draft to turn in next month and that if he still has it and we see him again in the summer, we should not ask how he's doing.
